How to Take Cute Candid Disney Pics: Animal Kingdom Edition
Pictures, pictures, and oh.. more pictures of me!
Location: Maharajah Jungle Trek
I have been to the Walt Disney World parks in Orlando more times than I can count in my 24 short years on this Earth. I consider myself very fortunate to be able to live in one of the most entertaining places in the country if perhaps not the world. Known to my friends and family as "my happy place" (my mom even bought me a necklace with Cinderella's castle and that specific phrase on it), Disney will forever hold a special place in my heart.
A common question I get all the time is "Don't you ever get tired of going to Disney?!" My simple answer to that is no. My long, complicated answer to that, is that there are millions of things to do at Walt Disney World that could keep you entertained for months. There are 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, a newly renovated Disney Springs shopping and entertainment area, and over 20 themed resorts that you can visit! Some activities are free and some are not. My later posts will go into detail about all the activities Disney has to offer but this post is about my latest hobby that I love to do at the parks, take candid photos in unique places. More specifically I would like to break down park by park hidden gem locations I love to take advantage of. Animal Kingdom has produced several Facebook profile and Instagram pictures of me in the last two years. All you need is a phone with a camera, a friend willing to take a million photos of you, and no shame as you get "candid" pictures in front of several onlookers.
My introduction photos were taken on the Maharajah Jungle Trek in Asia at Animal Kingdom. The idea for this shoot came when my mom was visiting in July for her birthday. I kept the location in the back of my mind and when the temperature dropped, my best friend, Maria Pensabene, took close to 100 pictures before we chose a few that I loved.

The end result and winning Instagram photo:
Earlier the same year I had the chance to go to Animal Kingdom with a few friends who also managed to snap these cute photos of me. While the above pictures are currently my favorite, I also took pictures with dinosaurs, wild jungle men, gorillas, and the main mouse himself. As I continue to visit the parks I will constantly be on the lookout for any picture locations I can find. In the meantime, enjoy the ones below.
