How to Take Cute Candid Disney Pics: EPCOT Edition
The Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow...
or known to most as EPCOT, is every adult Disney fan's personal playground. EPCOT is probably the most diverse of the 4 parks in seasonal offerings, such as the Flower and Garden Festival held during the spring and the Food and Wine Festival held during the fall. They have even branched out and started holding shorter festivals such as Festival of the Arts, January through February. If festivals aren't your thing, you can always dare to take on the current most popular EPCOT challenge. Anyone who comes to Disney above the age of 21 is most excited to spend the day drinking around the world in the World Showcase which makes up the back half of the park. 11 countries comprise the World Showcase which means you have roughly 12 hours or so to down, shot and chug your way through the likes of Mexican tequila, German beer, Japanese hot sake and so much more.
All of the aforementioned activities are why EPCOT is neck and neck with Magic Kingdom as my favorite park. While future world at the front of the park could use some updating, the World Showcase is a great place to explore for those of you who have an incurable wanderlust like me and/or deep pockets unlike me. The ever changing scenery and vast array of back drops makes for some of the coolest pictures in all of Disney.
FIRST, before heading to the World Showcase, make sure you stop by the exit of Spaceship Earth located inside the ball (pictured above) for this pretty wall.
Once you have journeyed to space and back you can then head to the World Showcase. My friends and I once spent a rainy afternoon gathering some of the cutest pictures in EPCOT and I also have a few from previous visits as well. From the beginning of the World Showcase on the left going all the way around starting with...
Mexico:
Norway:
This building right next to Anna and Elsa's summer haus is perfect for pictures.
China:
Located just before the gift shop, stairs that lead to nowhere.
Trading Outpost (not technically a country) :
Though this one is not technically a country, the trading outpost had a jeep outside when we took this picture, making the perfect prop.
Germany:
We were unable to find a place in Germany we liked the first visit so a few weeks ago I went back and found this location.
Italy:
The home of my ancestors has so many great photo opportunities. Top taken just outside the entrance to Italy around the lake, middle taken by the mock Trevi Fountain and bottom is exiting the gift shop.
America:
In America we found some flags at the quick service restaurant we liked.
Japan:
In Japan I took pictures in front of the horse statue and around the lake just before entering.
Morocco:
Morocco has to be my favorite country in EPCOT. It definitely has the prettiest views. The top photo was taken by the kiosk for food upon entering Morocco, the middle picture was taken by a water fountain just inside Morocco on the left, and the bottom was taken around the corner from the full service restaurant.
France:
This was taken by the ice cream shop inside France.
UK:
The top photo was taken next to the Alice in Wonderland meet and greet and the bottom was taken right next to the fish and chips kiosk.
Canada:
Taken next to the small performance stage in Canada.
