Ash's Nash Bash in Nashville, Tennessee
Nashville, Tennessee...
is the go to spot for eager brides-to-be to have one last hoorah before entering into marriage. I had the pleasure of spending this weekend in Nashville with a group of girls celebrating my long time close friend's brother's fiance. Still with me here? hahaha! Essentially a friend of a friend was kind enough to allow me to tag along for a weekend of fun that included, dirty jeopardy, rooftop bars with 100 dollar cocktails and a couple memorable nights on the craziest street in town after 10 p.m., Broadway.
On Thursday, my friend, Chelsea, and I took the 6 and a half hour car journey down to Tennessee. We jammed out, caught up, got stuck in traffic and broke down 2 hours from the city. I wont go into extreme details but the gas pedal would be pushed all the way down and our car wouldn't go anywhere.. After a few panicked calls to Chelsea's dad and AAA, we turned the car back on to find it working perfectly and crossed our fingers as we drove the last 2 hours. We arrived an hour and a half late and exhausted so it was a brief exchange of hellos and we showered and crashed.
On Friday, we had a late start that included a delicious brunch with mimosas at the house.

Once we were ready, we took an Uber to an area of downtown named the Gulch. Anyone familiar with Nashville knows this is where you can find the famous giant wing mural. With lines getting up to 30/40 minutes long or more, we were lucky that we only had to wait about 15.
The Gulch is an area for unique shops, pop up stores and so on like Kittenish, a store opened by Jessie James Decker. The store was very well decorated, sold some cute, decently priced items and offered a wonderful spot to snap some more photos.
You know I'm a sucker for a cute wall
Why yes Jessie, I think I just might
Winky Lux was a pop up store that we visited in the Gulch too that had a walk through interactive theme that included beach balls, foam pits and mini trampolines. I asked the clerk what their plans were after the pop up is over and she informed me they should be opening up permanent shop there, so it's worth a stop by if you're in the area.

Once we finished at the stores, we decided to look for a rooftop lounge to enjoy. The Thompson Nashville hotel had just what we were looking for, a bar called L.A. Jackson. It had great views of the city and a pretty large drink menu to chose from. The food was pretty good as well however, it was high in price and low in options.
The absolute highlight of the bar though (beside the view) was the GIANT cocktail that requires a 6 person minimum party to purchase. Here is the bride Ashley, with the drink.
They have a few options in flavor as well

Then came the evening festivities. We decided to head home to get ready and pregame the evening.

A fun activity to do during the evening is a popular new trend called pedal wagons. For those not familiar, you essentially climb onto a bike seat with pedals, hooked up to a moving bar that a designated driver (from the company) maneuvers around the city. Our wagon was BYOB, came with PG rated music and our driver took us down Broadway where SEVERAL drunk patrons tried to climb aboard. Our specific trip included one stop in a bar just off Broadway where the insides were filled with retro arcade games. The rest of the evening, after being dropped off on Broadway, was spent bar hopping to bars such as Acme that include live bands, rooftop bars and DJs.
The seats have a counter and cup holders in front of them

Saturday was much of the same as Friday and included a delicious Mexican restaurant named Saint Anejo in the Gulch and more time spent on Broadway. Overall, I had a wonderful weekend in Nashville and appreciate being invited to celebrate a lovely bride. Best of luck Ashley and Josh!
